About Rick

Inspired by the work of Walker Evans, Berenice Abbott, and Eugène Atget, Rick Gilbert developed a passion for photography at an early age, cultivating a documentary style defined by natural light, authentic moments, and visual storytelling.

His career began in New York's music and live entertainment industry, where a lifelong love of photography eventually led him behind the camera full-time. As House Photographer for legendary concert promoter John Scher's Metropolitan Entertainment, Rick documented iconic artists, unforgettable performances, and behind-the-scenes moments throughout New York City.

Today, Rick applies that same instinct for capturing genuine emotion and energy to corporate events, executive headshots, conferences, and brand photography. Whether photographing a live performance, a corporate gathering, or a professional portrait, his focus remains the same: creating images that connect people, tell stories, and leave a lasting impression.

Through Rockin' & Rollin' Imagery and his corporate photography practice, Rick continues to build a diverse portfolio that spans music, business, and documentary photography, preserving moments that matter with authenticity and impact.
